I hope you voted. The election is going to close tonight (Sunday the 14th) at midnight.
We will be making the results known shortly. I want to let everybody know that I am extremely grateful for people who are willing to run for office and dedicate the time needed to have a successful Board of Directors. I have had the experience of working with, as well as being around a number of other Executive Boards from other states lately.
I really must say that I am working with a group of people who are top notch. Everybody in Alaska, both involved with the Executive Board, and with the Chapters, is really dedicated, thoughtful, intelligent, and willing to spend their time to improve the industry. We are all working for the same goal with no time to spare, all pulled in a million different directions, but trying to improve this industry for the benefit of all. At least we are doing it with a smile on our faces.
SO what I am really saying is that there are good people who have your back, and what ever the outcome of the election, the election brought out some very good people and we are moving into 2018 with a Board interested in making sure that the AMIA moves forward for with the best interests of you the members at heart, and the goal of moving the Cannabis Industry in Alaska forward at the same time.
