I would just like to say for posterity that traveling across the country, losing 4 hours and then getting an early start is something that needs to be studied for 2 reasons. 1.) so that the limits of human endurance can be properly understood, and 2.) so that a cure might be developed for the level of stupidity it takes to execute this maneuver.
We are ready to go though and after we have our morning strategy meeting to make sure that we are all on the same messaging and our talking points are aligned so that no matter which of us you talk to you will get a consistant ask, "pass the Banking bill." We will do the USDA meeting to have a quick talk about Cannabis and then our first Senate banking appointment of the morning will be in the office of Senate Maj. Leader McConnell. I want you to let that sink in for a moment. I really don't think that any of the Republican Senatorial offices that we are going to see would have even paused to look our way a few years ago . Yet now we are going to be asking that they assist in getting one of the stepping stones we need accomplished AND they are open to listening to our points about this. Talk about truly amazing. We have a loooooong way to go, but for the group of affiliated associations who are promoting cannabis advocacy to have gotten to this moment, it is just staggering. These are the same people who thought the only place for us a few years ago was jail, and now here we are sitting at the table with those people and normalizing the industry for the nation.
